Translate Genie Terms of Service

Thank you for using Translate Genie (hereinafter referred to as "the Application"). This Application is provided by Fuzhou Zhiyue Interactive Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "the Company").

By installing, opening, or using any function of this Application, you indicate that you have accepted all the terms of this Agreement.

About the Service

The core functions of this Application include: text translation, voice translation, image translation, and conversation translation.

We will continuously improve the functions and may suspend or adjust some services as needed for operation. Significant changes will be communicated in advance via in-app notifications or email.

Your Responsibilities and Permitted Conduct

You may:

Legally use this Application on your personal mobile device for learning, work, or daily communication.

Choose to enable or disable the necessary permissions (microphone, camera, storage).

You may not:

Use this Application to translate, generate, or disseminate any illegal, harassing, discriminatory, violent, or rights-infringing content.

Attempt to crack, reverse engineer, extract translation models, or interfere with server operation.

Using scripts, bots, or other automated methods to call translation interfaces in bulk, exceeding a reasonable frequency.

We reserve the right to take necessary measures against violations, including suspending or terminating your access.

How We Handle Your Information

Your data belongs to you. We only temporarily process your input text, voice, or images to complete translation requests.

We use industry-standard encrypted transmission (TLS) and access control measures to protect your data. In the event of a data breach, we will notify you and regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable laws (including but not limited to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and your local privacy regulations).

Because we may use translation engines located in the EU, Singapore, or the US, your translation data may be transferred across borders.

We will:

Ensure encryption during transmission;

Require data recipients to sign GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

For details regarding your rights to query, correct, and delete personal data, please see the Privacy Policy within this application. This policy and the Privacy Policy apply simultaneously; in case of any inconsistency, the Privacy Policy shall prevail.

Intellectual Property Ownership

The code, icons, interface design, trademarks, etc., of this application belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, and non-exclusive right to use it, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, or publicly display any content that is not your original work.

The intellectual property rights of the original text you input into this application remain with you. We will not use your original text to display or sell to any third party.

Limitation of Liability

We undertake to provide this application with reasonable technical and care obligations, but due to inherent technical limitations, we cannot guarantee:

100% accuracy, unambiguity, or suitability for all professional occasions in the translation;

complete uninterrupted, delay-free, or fault-free service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for the following losses:

Any problems caused by your own modifications to your device system, use of unofficial versions, or third-party plugins;

Service unavailability caused by force majeure events such as network outages, power failures, and natural disasters.

Any disputes or losses arising between you and a third party after you access third-party links or services through this application shall be resolved solely by you and the third party. We are not responsible for the content, services, or privacy practices of third parties.

Terms Updated

We may revise these Terms in accordance with changes in laws and regulations or business needs. Important modifications (such as those affecting your core rights) will be communicated to you via pop-ups or prominent notices within the application. Your continued use of this application constitutes your agreement to the updated Terms; if you do not agree, please uninstall the application and cease use.

Governing Law

The interpretation, validity, and performance of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of your country or region, and we undertake to comply with the mandatory data privacy provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These Terms do not limit any legal rights you enjoy under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country or region.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved amicably through negotiation. If negotiation fails:

Disputes concerning data privacy: You have the right to file a complaint with the data protection regulatory authority in your place of residence.

Regarding other disputes: You may choose to bring your suit in a court with jurisdiction in your location.

Full Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

No Waiver of Rights: Our failure to enforce or delay in enforcing any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
